There are many installation variations. Which approach is right for you will depend on your
In most cases, due to the compact size of the lithium battery, installation is easy. This is because your original battery compartment will be larger than is needed for your new system. If your system is equipped with additional inverters or chargers, these must be installed using the space that is available. Please refer to the user manual that was delivered with your system for more information about installing individual components.
Olifemarine systems are designed for fully autonomous operation based on initial settings. Please be careful to set up your system correctly during initial configuration. You should always set your Olife system’s functionality in compliance with laws and regulations, which vary by country and region. Please refer to the user manual that was delivered with your Olife system for information on how to set-up your Olifemarine System appropriately.
Your Olife Nautica Energy System is designed to be maintenance-free during normal operation - when connected to the public grid and/or photovoltaics. Under these conditions, a correctly configured system does not need maintainence.
Systems that are disconnected from the public grid and/or photovoltaics do need some routine maintenance and care. In order to maximise the life of your system, follow these guidelines: Do not leave your battery unused for long periods of time. This applies whether the battery is disconnected from public grid, PV system or in storage.
Your battery will slowly discharge (self-discharge) when you are not using it or while the battery is in storage. Routinely check the battery’s charge status.
If your system is not likely to be used for a long period of time, we recommended that you disconnect the battery from all ship systems using the master battery switch.
Before you store your system you should fully charge its battery. Once it is in storage, and assuming no ship equipment is connected, you should refresh charge the battery at least once every six months. If you have to leave some devices connected , for example alarms, you should monitor the charge state of the battery every month.
Please handle the system with care and avoid exposing it to shocks or impact. When you transport your system you should always use the original packaging. This will secure and protect it under normal transport conditions.
Your Olife Energy Storage System is equipped with a lithium battery. You should always check all relevant local, national, and international regulations. In certain cases, the transport of an end-of-life, damaged, or recalled battery may be restricted or prohibited.
It is possible that other devices such as a damaged generator or malfunctioning fuses or circuit breakers, etc. might interfere with the operation of your system. For this reason, we recommend you check the operation of these other components first.
If your energy storage system malfunctions, please try to diagnose the device yourself using the "Diagnostic" section of your user manual. If this does not resolve the problem, please contact our technical support.
